Nearshore Reef/Wreck

The waters just offshore of our beaches here in Charleston are scattered with 19th century shipwrecks, artificial reefs, and natural geologic features that make for some pretty awesome fishing . We will most often stay within sight of land but on the really pretty days we may venture out a little further if its necessary to put you on the BIG ONE! Typical catches include Flounder, Cobia, Spadefish, Black Sea Bass, Spanish Mackeral and sharks. I prefer to target whatever is biting the best so please call in advance so that we can talk fishing a little bit before it is time to head out.

We run these Nearshore Reef trips out of Charleston and Isle of Palms.  Our 24 foot boat, The Windsor Anne is a great boat to take to the reef on the calm days and she will get us home safely if the weather gets nasty. Her sightfishing tower enables us to spot fish such as Cobia and Spadefish more quickly and in the end, put our customers on more fish more often.

This year has been a different story. So far the winter of...

Daylight Savings Time | Redfish Fishing

We had good weather today and an early morning low tide. We started fishing in a couple of small creeks and had some luck.Caught two small reds on the first two casts but had to move on. They must have been the only two in that spot. We...

I love to fish in Charleston but after a really busy summer we were both ready to get...
